At last our KOE tournament is finished. I am glad there were not big problems during this nice chess event. Except one bad thing - KOE website was not updated on time.

As always nothing goes perfect and I apologize to you all for that.

Attached is final table and all games in cbv - you can open it in with chessbase or with your chessprogram.

As we can see from table King Of Engines for this year is Zap (Suj) and with really amazing results 19,5 from 24

 

Second is, and not surprisingly, Rybka. (Klaus) 17 from 24

 

Third is Team of Jungle (Alex and Phil) 16,5 from 24

                                                   !!! CONGRATS !!!

 

We all know there are new rules for KOE 2008 and it means first seven are registered for KOE 2008.

They are: Zap, Rybka, Fritz, Fruit, Shredder, Junior, Hiarcs.

 

Amazing results got Fruit if we consider it was on single CPU machine - really good results. Left behind Shredder, Junior and Hiarcs all on dual and Shredder even on quad! We all know Eros.

Good games were played with Glaurung and Loop and both got unlucky out of quali range.

Interesting games were played by Scorpio and i believe we will hear about this program in future.

I was little bit disappointed with Gandalf performance but sure programers will improve this program too. 

 

I already sent final table and games to Phil and to Richard. I believe Phil will update web soon.

Prizes will be sent: To Suj 1st, to Klaus 2nd, to Alex 3rd.

 

Players with engines 8-13 will have to play qualifying tournament.

Once more thank you all for participating this tournament congratulation to winners and registered group and courage to those 8-13. Read 2008 rules and you will understand that qualifying is not impossible task and you 8-13 have advantage comparing to those new coming from jungle in 2008. !
